Just as the voting wraps up on the final round of one “Best of KC” contest, the final round of voting for the Kansas City Star’s “Kansas City Favorites” 2025 opens. The rules are essentially the same as the Kansas City Magazine contest – you can vote once per day from today, March 31, 2025 through 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Friday, April 18, 2025.

However, there are some differences in the way the Kansas City Favorites ballot works. First, their ballot will not allow us to provide you with a direct link to vote for a particular nominee or even in a particular category. Second, they treat the entire contest as a single “ballot” that you can submit once per day. So you need to go through and choose your favorites in all of the categories that you want to cast a vote in first, then you submit your ballot, registering your votes for the nominees you’ve selected in all of the different categories all at once.
